Yangon City Hall is centrally located in downtown next several important landmark such as Sule Pagoda, and High Court building. The City Hall building is considered to be a fine example of Burmese architecture with its traditional tiered roofs and trimmings around the colonial pillars. Completed in 1936, the building is enlisted on the Yangon City Heritage List.
