In response to capture your 365: where I stand.
Myanmar Plaza, the premier western-style mall recently opened it doors to the public. When I came to Yangon for the first time 2 years ago, this site was a hole in the ground. Now it’s all grown up and massive.
Shwedagon Paagoda is a must for first time visitors to Yangon. I’d been here 3 times or so and still marvel at it’s vastness and glory. The 2,500 years pagoda consists of hundreds of colorful temples and stupahs within its grounds. Foreigners and locals come to this magnificent pagoda to focus on religious and community activities so its always bustling with devotees and monks washing statues, offering flowers, worshiping and meditating.
An apartment block downtown Yangon, near the city center. Kinda of reminds me of apartment block in NYC where there’s retail on the ground floor and residences above.
That is the moon over Shwedagon in Yangon. As you can see it was was a partly cloudy evening. I am in Myanmar for the week so I’ll try and share my photos of Myanmar as much as possible.
